Welcome to Field of Eden Senior Living, the first and only Eden Alternative–inspired home in Sacramento and the only active in Northern California. Our community was founded on a simple but powerful vision: to bring love, purpose, and true home life back into elder care.
My name is Vino Ruiz, and it is my privilege to serve as your Administrator. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Registered Nurse with years of experience in geriatric and elder care, having practiced in the Philippines, New Zealand, and Australia, and now proudly continuing my nursing career here in California, at a leading research hospital in Sacramento.
Caring for elders has always been more than a profession to me; it’s my calling. Elder care is my heartbeat. Every individual deserves not only high-quality care but also dignity, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Before founding Field of Eden Senior Living, I established Aroha Curis Healthcare, an employment services organization dedicated to hiring and developing compassionate nurses and caregivers. “Aroha” means “to love” in Māori, reflecting the spirit behind everything we do; providing care rooted in love, empathy, and respect.
Field of Eden is the living expression of that same philosophy, a home where residents flourish, caregivers find meaning, and families gain peace of mind. We don’t just care for elders; we create an environment where love truly lives here.
